Day 1: As you arrive at the airport in Salta your transfer will be waiting at the airport and you will be taken to your hotel. You will have free time to rest or walk around the hotel to have the first impression of this enchanted historical city. Lunch and dinner could be taken in the hotel or see our recommendations on meals. If you arrive in the morning you can take advantage of any of our optional excursions.

Day 2: Very early and after breakfast at around 07:00 am we you will starting a trip to HUMAHUACA GULLY, located in the province of Jujuy and declared World Heritage in 2003. You will discover a magical place where the landscape and colours of its hills conjugate with colourful cultures that live in the region. Get your camera ready and do not forget solar protection and your sunglasses. After experiencing unforgettable places, we will return to Salta to have a delicious dinner at the hotel or at any of our recommended places to eat. 

Day 3: In the morning, you will have free time to go on visiting this historical marvelous city. We recommend to visit de High Mountain Museum (MAAM) especially if you are interested in archeology or Museum of Güemes if you want to learn the history of the liberator of Salta in an original and amusing way. Another alternative is the optional excursión  WALKING SALTA  to take advantage of the beauty of this city. In the afternoon, around 4 pm, we will fetch you from the hotel for the CITY TOUR in which we will visit the city, its surroundings, and main buildings and monuments. In the evening, around 8 pm we will have a FOLKLORE RIDE where you will be able to get to know the roots of this corner of the planet: we invite to be part of a typical “peña salteña”, where you will experiment the argentine north through its flavours and dances. 

Day 4: the transfer will be picking you up to take you to the airport according to the time of your flight. Free time until that moment. If so, we recommend any of the optional excursions in our list.

Description: We will visit the most attractive places in the city: the Cathedral, Cultural Center of The Americas,  Northern Historical Museum (Cabildo) with sacred art exhibitions  and rooms dedicated to antique salteñas families, San Francisco Minor Basilica, San Bernardo Convent, Güemes Monument, climbing to San Bernardo Hill from which you will enjoy panoramic views from the city, Visit to San Lorenzo Summer villages, in the surroundings of the city with a special subtropical  weather and Craft Market  where yiu can find handcrafts with certificate of origin

Description: We will discover the folklore roots through a guided tour around the main places where salteños poets and musicians used to meet. It is a special activity to learn the principal steps of the typical dances. If you are fond of dancing, we offer a two hours class (optional) given by outstanding dancers from The Old Station. Gatos, chacareras and zambas will complete the memories from Salta in addition to its food, wines and views.

Description: A trip through the Gully declared World Heritage in 2003. You will discover a magical place where the landscape and colours of its hills conjugate with colourful cultures that live in the region. It is a ride that includes social contact and visit to ancestral roots. It starts in tha arrival at Purmamarca, where you can observe The Seven Colour Hill visit the Church and the Craft Market. Passing through Hornillos Post, we will continue to Tilcara. Then we will go to Huacalera, passing the Capricorn tropic where you can see the colourful Pollera de la Colla Hill. After that, we will visit Uquía Church in which you will find the Arcabuceros Angles paintings. When arriving al Humahuaca the imposing Cathedral and the Independence Monument will surprise you. Return after lunch to observe from the route the Palette of the Painter that frames the town of Maimara. Arrival to San Salvador de Jujuy where you will visit the Hall of the Flag and the Cathedral Church, with its characteristic pulpit carved in wood and laminated in gold and the statues of Lola Mora.

Description: A specific walk for those who have just hours to know the inevitable places when buying typical products of Salta. First a stop for a textile store, Luracatao, whose huts and loom weaves have long attracted for their quality and finesse, the next stop will be in a goldsmith shop, to appreciate in detail the work in silver and alpaca, representative works of our ancestors colonial Then, we will stop at a wine cellar to be advised on the purchase of wines from the region, awarded and recognized worldwide, being able to complement also with cheeses and regional products. Finally, we visit a pottery workshop, a reflection of the pre-Hispanic cultures of the NOA.

Description: A circuit by the downtown hull of the city, which will adapt to the tastes and interests of each passenger. You will visit Plaza 9 de Julio and the historic buildings that surround it: Cathedral Church, Day Palace, Cabildo and San Francisco Church will be appreciated in the least detail, as well as the peculiarities of life and movement of Salta in its day to day . The Supply Market is an interesting point for lovers of culinary art and the High Mountain Museum (MAAM), for those interested in archeology.

Description: The route begins with the Lerma Valley passing through fields of tobacco cultivation and villages of colonial architecture like Germany, which used to be the end point of the Belgrano railway. Entrance to the Las Conchas River Gorge where the curious formations eroded by wind and water will be the main attraction: the dunes, the toad, the bishop, the devil's throat, castles, amphitheater, among others. Then continue along the National Route 68 arriving in Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaquíes Valleys internationally recognized for the strains of their wines, in particular the Torrontés, which can be tasted on visits to their wineries, whether they are handcrafted or industrial type. It returns to Salta by the same route, but with a completely different sunlight whose illumination will modify the landscape in the whole ravine.

Description: Route parallel to the railways of the Tren de las Nubes, through the Quebrada del Toro where the landscape is a transition between thick vegetation and the appearance of the first cardones; the outstanding maneuvers of the Train of the Clouds, such as the Viaduct of the Bull, the zig-zag of Alisal and Chorrillo, are observed, knowing places like El Candado, El Golgotta, Alfarcito, among others. Visit to
the pre-Inca city of Santa Rosa de Tastil, one of the most important cities in whose ruins are distinguished perfectly dwellings, burials and streets. Continue along Finca La Encrucijada, to start the ascent to Cuesta del Muñano and ascend in Abra Blanca until reaching 4080 masl. Arrival to San Antonio de los Cobres, the capital city of the department of the Andes.

After touring the town, climb the Cuesta de Lipán until you reach the impressive Salinas Grandes, one of the most visited destinations in the Puna region of Jujuy, an incredible place where the white landscape blends with the intense blue sky, there you can observe the process of extraction of table salt.
